Superflex: My Hero Inside

Superflex My Hero Inside

We are very proud to announce the release of 13 super-fantastic songs that support our Superflex Curriculum along with 2 New Superflex Posters and a Free Download of Superflex is ME!

The Superflex music is available now on our website, iTunes, Amazon and Google Play.

So many brilliant and enthusiastic individuals collaborated on the Superflex music! Five talented singers (one in fifth grade and another a former client of Michelle’s) joined award-winning songwriters, veteran composers and well-known musicians. The 13 songs arose out of the gifted minds, hearts, and voices of individuals who worked for many months with Social Thinking on the songs and lyrics.

Behind the Scenes

Social Thinking Superflex Team

Songs such as “Social Detective”, “The Superflex Academy”, “Brain Eater”, and “Space Invader” were written by the Emmy and Grammy award-winning, super songwriting team of Michael and Patty Silversher and recorded by five incredible singers. It was terrific to see all the musicians’ talents shine individually as well as in their team work as they created a really wonderful production of each song.

Several Superflex characters are at the top, to remind students that Superflex actually represents each student, no matter what gender, race or color, and superflexible social thinking should continue to evolve in each of us! When we use our flexible thinking we can overcome the sneaky Unthinkables. Superflex Thinkables Poster

Thinkables are being seen around Social Town everywhere now as children are learning to use their superflexible thinking strategies to defeat their Unthinkables. Each Thinkable character is a counterpart to the Unthinkable character/challenge, and adds to a person’s superflexible powers to defeat the Unthinkables. Our Thinkables represent the expected thinking and behaviors that kids learn through the use of our related curriculum. Several Superflex characters, representing our students’ gender and ethnic diversity, are at the top of the poster to remind students that Superflex represents the superflexible social thinking that’s in each of us. When we use our flexible thinking our Thinkables, who are part of Superflex’s team, start showing up!

Superflex Posters 2-Pack

Superflex Posters 2-Pack

Our two new Superflex posters are the perfect visual tools to guide students in using their superflexible social thinking and learning the concepts and strategies taught in our Superflex: A Superhero Social Thinking Curriculum. The Unthinkables represent some of the many social learning challenges our kids face with the poster depicting our 14 original characters, their names and anti-social powers. The characters on the companion poster, Superflex Thinkables, represent the pro-social learning powers and related expected behaviors experienced as children are guided well through our Superflex curriculum. It includes the 14 counterpart characters, their names, and the superflexible powers each represents. The characters on the posters are positioned so that the Unthinkable-Thinkable pair is found in the same spot on each poster.
