Description

The Zones Triggers poster is a companion product to the self-regulation curriculum The Zones of Regulation®, by Leah Kuypers, and coordinates with Lesson 9 "Caution! Triggers Ahead" in the book. The poster is designed as a tool adults can use to help students gain awareness of their personal triggers that lead them to the Yellow or Red Zone.

A student's ability to self-regulate fluctuates throughout the day. Students may find themselves in any one or more of the four Zones as they encounter different people, different situations, and different challenges. Triggers are things or thoughts that move a person out of the Green Zone into the Yellow and Red Zones. When our students are able to identify their triggers, they become more aware of their state of alertness and are better able to brace themselves for what is to come. They can learn to use tools and strategies to manage their behaviors while in a particular Zone, and if possible self-regulate to move back into the Green Zone. A Caution sign is paired with this teaching concept to remind students that they need to prepare themselves for something out of the ordinary coming their way. The dry erase surface (use only dry erase markers with this poster) makes this poster reusable in the home, clinic, or classroom. Also sold in The Zones of Regulation 4-Poster Set.

Dimensions: 18" width x 24" height.
