June 26 2:30-3:15: Games and Activities to Use in Social Thinking Groups |
|
Poster Session: Dominique Baudry, M.S., ED Games to help students with perspective taking, reading people’s plans, social problem solving, and experimenting with non-verbal communication. Games and drama activities allow students to engage with each other in a fun and playful manner. These games were designed to help students with perspective taking, reading people’s plans, social problem solving, and experimenting with non-verbal communication.
All of these games were designed for kids with social challenges, and are meant to engage the kids with the material in an experiential manner. These games are designed to last between 5-25 minutes. During this presentation I would demonstrate as many of these games as time allowed in order for the audience to fully understand how they might implement these games into their own work with students.
Learning objectives
1. Learn some games to use in their work with groups.
2. Learn some drama activities that they can use with their groups
