Description
This session is designed to explore early development of the social mind and how to encourage the social learning of our young students. What looks like pure fun to us has important social consequences for the developing mind. We will preview our upcoming preschool curriculum that teaches the Social Thinking Vocabulary through story books, structured activities, play and music.
Objectives
- Upon completion of this session the participant will be able to identify 4 key milestones that underlie the development of social cognitive skills birth to five years of age.
- Upon completion of this session the participant will be able to identify the Preschool Social Thinking vocabulary concepts to teach in preschool.
- Upon completion of this session the participant will be able to identify ways to teach the preschool Social Thinking vocabulary through storybooks, music, and structured activities.
