Michelle G. Winner's Center for Social Thinking

Michelle G. Winner's Center for Social Thinking in San Jose, CA

Michelle G. Winner's Center for Social Thinking - located in San Jose, California -  is a friendly supportive place where parents can learn about upcoming educational events in the community, gain access to information about the treatment approach Michelle and her staff is creating, purchase her products and learn about scheduling consultation and assessment appointments.

The goal is to educate all persons about the importance of social thinking challenges and how they impact students’ lives across the day.

At the center students can engage in a range of activities that help them to explore communication as an interactive process of the heart, mind, eyes, ears and mouth!

Our goal is to help students engage with others during spirited activities in a supportive environment.

At Michelle G. Winner's Center for Social Thinking we also acknowledge that this field is in its infancy and that we are all just beginning to learn practical treatment approaches that really help students to eventually process social-communicative information in a deeper way.

Services offered through Michelle G. Winner's Center for Social Thinking include:

  •  A school year therapy session that runs from Sept-June of each school year. Students meet on a consistent schedule in social thinking groups or in individual sessions for 1 hour each week.
  •  An 8-week summer session offering social thinking groups and some individual therapy sessions.
  •  Assessment/consultation appointments across the entire year.
  •  Mentor Training program for professionals seeking more hands-on training experience.
  •  Trainings and consultations to school districts and educational groups at their educational site in the community.
  •  Possible attendance at IEP meetings.
  •  Products that Michelle has created  - as well as the sale of rubber chickens!
