The Social Thinking Philosophy

Who is Michelle’s work dedicated to?

A number of diagnostic labels represent persons with some aspects of social cognitive deficits, these labels may include:

  •  All Autism Spectrum Diagnosis (ASD): Asperger Syndrome (AS), Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) and Autism.
  •  Non-verbal Learning Disability (NLD)
  •  Attention Deficit Disorder, with or without hyperactivity (ADD, ADHD)
  •  Not all persons with the following diagnosis necessarily have social cognitive deficits, but a significant number do:
    •  Tourette’s Syndrome (not all persons with Tourette’s have social cognitive deficits, but many do)
    •  Obsessive Compulsive Disorders
    •  Oppositional Defiant Disorder
    •  Emotionally Disturbed

Michelle’s information best meets the needs of students with near-average to way above average verbal intelligence.
